Yeah... I am so excited. My cherry Tree onesie from my store was listed in the Treasury on Etsy. YEAH! Thanks to JewelEra... For those of you who don’t know Etsy or what the Treasury is here is a brief explanation. Etsy is a wonderful sight were artists can sell handmade items. It is not an auction like ebay and most of the artists have very reasonable prices. So many talented people on etsy I could never list all their stores. The Treasury is a 107 lists that rotate every 2 days. The lists are created by fellow artists who pick their favorite items from other sellers. This give just one other way to shop – and usually the stuff listed is probably stuff you wouldn’t come across in your other searches for items. It is a great inspiration to other artists to look through these pages. It really helps reiterate the truth that there are thousands of talented people on Etsy. So go to the sight and prepare to be addicted!

Feb 15th – I know this is early for Mothers Day – but honestly I think Mom’s need to be honored every day of the year. At least that is my attitude now that I am a mom. Once my daughter was born I think I had a whole new appreciation for my mom. I tell her that all the time… and am still amazed at the sacrifices she made for me and my siblings. In honor of that and upcoming Mothers Day - meet my new creation…. The “I ‘heart’ Mom” collection. It is a new twist on the typical tattoos you see men sporting. A cute heart appliqué composed of Amy Butler fabrics from her lotus collection (one of my favorites) with a tag sewn into the heart made from midori silk ribbon with the tidings “Mom” written on the ribbon…. If it couldn’t get any cuter- I even added a modified ruffled bottom to the onesie by sewing strips of coordinating fabric in a folded pattern. These will fray at the edges adding to that custom boutique feel.

WANTED: Home for Penelope the purple Elephant!
I am so excited about my Penelope the Elephant line. I designed her myself - I know truly amazing folks!! She is made from new and vintage fabrics from my grandmother quilt stash. I had made a keepsake quilt for my daughter out of these fabrics and only had a few scraps left... Instead of letting them gather dust (probably never to be used again).. I made some great bibs, burp cloths and Penelope the Purple Elephant. I only have two of these made and one just sold. I have one applique left and can be put on size of shirt of your choice. I added to my collection... I am so excited about these items. Cutest cherries all hand appliqued by me!! I have Cherry Tree's, cherries, barrettes, bibs and burp cloths all handmade unique items! The cutest little girl in the world modeling this line is my daughter- and no she doesn't come with the items!!
